I think we still need places of learning, and that the Templars need to be around for when the worst of the mages go wrong. It'll always happen. But that shouldn't mean mages can no longer see their families and basically cease to exist from the outside world. It shouldn't mean that Templars can do as they please. There needs to be far stricter oversight over the Templars, and I'm not convinced the Chantry should be the ones to do it. But I don't know who should then."
