But it's a trivial disappointment. What matters is that he stopped firing, and she's got enough time to close the gap between them. If she didn't have her armor on, she'd be able to close in on him in no time at all, but as she does, it does slow her down a bit. Enough that he's recovered and that his gun's raised up and ready to fire just as she reaches him. If he fires, so be it. She's been hit with worse.
