"Damn near?" He pretended to mull the words over in his head, looking up a moment, then shrugging with a small smile. "I can live with that." He knew very well it was more than that, of course, but sure, let the doctor put up that front if he wanted to. Wasn't fooling Jim, that was for sure.
"You're not the worst, don't say that. It's... tolerable," he said finally, huffing a small chuckle. Well, it wasn't much of a compliment, he knew. Bones had a lot of things he excelled at, singing just didn't happen to be one of them. Then again they weren't exactly on karaoke or open mic night, so it's not like it mattered.
Eyebrows raising just so, his lips curved into a sharper smile, and he pulled Bones closer as the back of his knees pressed against the armrest of the couch. "Mm, do I? Only when I'm singing, or... when I'm doing other things, too?"
