Fingers curled softly in the fabric of Jim's shirt, the nearness and warmth of just, everything, felt so overwhelming and... god, so good. Leonard wasn't one to give himself away to silly romantic notions that some person could or would solve everything in his life, but he knew he cared so damn much about Jim Kirk that well, it definitely felt like everything did in fact shift.

In a good way. Especially when Jim went and said things like that and looked so ridiculously cute. Tipping his head a little, he brushed a soft kiss just below Jim's ear as a smile pulled at his lips. "Funny, it's about the same for me, too." Even if their first meeting he just wanted to patch the kid up and help him, it just naturally progressed one step at a time.

The hand still splayed against Jim's chest moved, softly curling his fingers around his neck so he could run the pad of his thumb along the line of Jim's pulse. Breathing in slowly, he finally lifted his own head to softly rest it against Jim's. Truth be told, he didn't know if he should say it. What if Jim didn't want to hear that just yet?

"Think maybe I'd better wait then." He felt a little light headed at that. Unsure. "Cause it doesn't matter Jim... Even if we weren't like this, I'd still be here. I'm not gonna leave you behind and I never will. You're my best friend and you always will be. But maybe I could say it this way... you're it for me."
