Moving to slide into his chair after Jim pulled away, he only looked up when Jim poured the lemonade with that tidbit of information. Smirking just a little, he arched a brow at the other man before taking his glass. "Well then, guess I'd better give it a try." Tipping the glass toward Jim, he pulled it to his lips to take a sip lightly.
"Well, I'll be... the Iowa boy makes a damn good glass of lemonade." Chuckling at that, he took another drink, savoring it before setting the glass down. Once Jim settled in, he slid his foot out under the table to softly tap Jim's. "Guess you'll be the one in charge of keeping lemonade ready for us."
It wasn't entirely teasing. He actually did like it enough to have Jim in charge of such a silly task. "Well then, let's give dinner a shot and see how we did." Picking up the silverware, he tried the meat first and gave a slow nod. Not half bad for a complete change in original purpose. He managed to mute down the burned flavor nearly completely, so he called that a real win.
