[Steve starts out expecting anything. It's become his go-to way of dealing with most things, particularly possibly life endangering things, here. Although he is expecting all matters of grisly and dangerous creatures, it still doesn't prepare him for the sights that await them the longer they travel.
He doesn't let the oddities put so much as a hitch into his step as he continues at the steady and sure pace he has set for himself. He's glad to see that his teammates seem just as determined to press on, even though Sigrun's discomfort soon becomes clear in her body language and sudden silence. He's tempted to ask her about it but pushes the idea aside. It's not the best time for personal conversations, and he's sure she'd address the matter if it would prove a problem to their mission.
He's pressed just ahead of the other two, attempting to scout ahead when Sigrun's voice draws his attention back to them.]
What is it?
[He approaches, eyes following the other's down towards Peter's arm, and immediately widening in surprise.]
Your arm... [He raises a hand, reaches forward, pauses. His eyes glance up, meeting Peter's.]
