With school having already started, Gyda couldn't spend the whole day in the tent city. There wasn't even much she could do, given she didn't have what others considered official training. The hours she could work after school were regulated to helping to fetch supplies for the medical tent or assisting at the soup kitchen though.
Her teacher did say something about 'service hours' and extra credit, whatever those were. She couldn't sit around the mansion while others were in need.
Gyda rotated her days between the make-shift medical tents or the soup kitchen, fetching, cleaning or more likely than not cooking and helping serve trays for anyone that's hungry. This was the easiest for her to do, as she always had to help cook large amounts of food back home, and there was nothing more comforting to someone lost then knowing that there was something hot about to be served.
She was serving lasagna to those in line, her hair pulled back with a scarf. "We also have meat free, if that's your preference."
