"I have found that learning the languages descended from Latin is easier once Latin is known, rather than the other way around," Harry says. "But I am intrigued by all languages—I was fortunate, before I came here, to have learned a smattering of the Netsilik dialect of Inuktitut." His smile goes a little sad. "I am only sorry to have not learned more."
