Alex doesn't so much as blink when he asked to see them, because she knows better than loads of people how this whole sort of code-like thing can suck you in. Of course, Alex has a deeply personal connection to the whole thing now (or honestly, more than one, but she's the one who has actually placed hands on the whole Horn of Tiamat prophecy) but she was interested in it before. So, she just easily passed along the book, leaving it open to her page because honestly, she's not into it all that far, so there's no point in going either backwards or forwards with it for her.
