Richard watches as Jeff closes the door and leans against it. Jeff is, annoyingly persistent, but not the professional annoying persistent that Alex is. He was pretty sure that, if given the option, he would rather go to dinner with Alex. They're both similar after all. Very unlike himself. And he's poor company at the best of times. Which meant there had to be a greater reason he was here, even if he'd just decided to stay because of Richard's current condition. Something Richard would rather not think about because of how much worse it made him feel. After all, he didn't need anyone. At least that's how it was supposed to be.
