I would have thought it would be from a shared love of books, but I think you've hit closer to the truth with that last one.

Which is too bad. Not that I even mind lighter reading now and again but it would be nice to have somewhere to discuss what we've read more meaningfully. And I'm pretty sure if we tried that with this club, we'd lose them two minutes in.
