[It's obvious that Cisco has braced himself to be lifted, but when he continues to stay stiff and tense all the way up the stairs, Eddie feels a prickle of worry because he knows that feeling. Can tell Cisco is either very afraid or vibing, and it's concerning him. The frequency, and what Cisco might be experiencing, what he might be enduring.

After Cisco comes back into himself, his limbs and torso going soft, can feel him letting himself go lax, letting his weight rest on Eddie again, and he gathers Cisco as close as he can even as his boyfriend apologizes.]

Shhh, babe it's fine. You've got nothing to apologize for.

[For a few moments, he's quiet, just cradling Cisco against himself, burying his face into his hair.]

I'm not going to let go or leave you. I promise, okay? I'm never gonna leave you alone when you're scared.

[His voice is soft, and he keeps rubbing a hand against Cisco's back, feeling the solid heat of him - too hot, obviously feverish, shivering slightly, taking in breath in little hiccups.]

Tell me what you're scared of, and I'll tell you if it's real, okay?

[While Eddie talks, he shifts, sliding back further onto the bed, shifting so he's resting against the headboard and pillows, cradling Cisco against himself. And then, at the end of the bed, he sees a little furry black head with twitchy ears pop up. With a soft breath that's almost a laugh, Eddie makes a soft noise in his mouth and then speaks quietly to Cisco.]

Looks like Shadow sensed some cuddling going on without him and he's coming to join us. He's just jumping on the end of the bed now, and padding his way up here...hi Shadow. Hi baby boy.

[Reaching out, he scritches under Shadow's chin, and the cat flops against them, right where he can lean against both Eddie's thigh and Cisco's calf, purring.]

Do you feel him purring?
