It is a title, yes. I don't have a personal name aside from this one.

[Once they took their place as the Tetherer, they had all record of their birth name destroyed. Like it never existed at all.

And it's not like anyone would have called them a personal name at any point, anyway, so they never bothered to choose one. Calling a god by their given name would be sacrilege. Simply "the Tetherer" would do.]
