[ Being between apartments means 'in a hotel' because the space is too small and too nicely furnished to be an empty apartment between more permanent residences. But this is the place Aoba offered to his soulmate, so when he pushed away from the plaint surface of that netted ceiling they lounged on at the club, he heaved himself up to lead the way to his place.
Because there was no one else he would rather spend the night with, and yet... as much as he didn't want to spend the night alone there, he found the option of sitting alone there too much to tolerate.
Aoba drops his keys off near the door and turns to pull Karamatsu inside, helping them both out of their jackets and shoes into the apartment. ]
...I'm so worn out, I could crash right now. Do you want to sleep?
