[Steve listens to Hiccups story as they both work on preparing ingredients for the cake. Grating carrots and mixing up the wet batter before adding in the dry ingredients and making something they can pour into the pan.]

You had dragon attacks? Regularly? But you have a dragon now.

[Apparently something happened, because it seems like the childhood Hiccup describes isn't the kind that seems like it would have pet dragons.]
