But his line of job does bring itself to keeping his distance, if only because anyone close to him could be used as leverage against him if he was ever captured. So while he’s found people whose company he enjoyed before (and more than simply ‘enjoyed’, he’s only human) he’s never really had the occasion for a long-term relationship. The closest he’s gotten are assignments. And now there’s Gabby and Solo.
