In a normal situation he’d retreat his hands quickly, because that’s a level of intimacy he isn’t ready to jump into with someone he literally just met. But this is as far from ‘normal situation’ as it gets, and the intimacy ship has already sailed. So even though he doesn’t exactly feel comfortable as he keeps on sharing, even though he really wishes he could just keep quiet until the poison runs out and they can finally open the doors… it doesn’t really matter anymore does it? Not after all he’s already shared.
