[Ed had been trying to keep a low profile while out beyond the wall, but necessities were still a factor and warmth and food were definitely necessities. In the absence of electricity within the abandoned city cooking over the fire place was his best option. He nearly dismissed the sound of scratching as he moved about the small home he'd taken over.
