Gamora gives Peter and his full mouth a flat look, but then draws back from Groot enough to coax the sapling into looking at her. ]

We are far from home here, all right? And it'll be a little while before we can go back.

[ Groot chews with his mouth open, but he's at least watching Gamora and nodding along. ]

And Rocket and Drax aren't here, but we'll see them again soon.

[ "Soon" is hard to explain to Groot, but... hopefully that makes sense.

Unfortunately, he does seem to process that the rest of their family isn't with them, and he looks between Peter and Gamora, his expression falling. ]
