"Cause those are surefire gospel truth." He purposely lilted his voice in that matter of fact way before chuckling lowly. "Guess ma wasn't on the same page with everyone else on that one. That or I was a special exception to the rule." Arching a brow at Jim, he purposely turned and swatted him on the ass as he ran toward the fridge. "And I don't glare at everyone. Just the ones makin' fools of themselves."

Possibly he just would forget to change the expression after said fools got the stink eye. Can't blame a guy for thinkin' too much. Rolling his eyes, he smiled to himself before pulling out bowls and measuring cups.

"As your doctor, I take that as a compliment." Looking more than amused, he handed Jim a measuring cup and told him how much of each to delve into the larger bowl before he sorted through the other ingredients to get them in the right order. "I'll leave more chocolate chip cookie dough for you. Probably taste better, anyway." Just meant he needed to do more in the batch was all. Something that didn't really bother him. It was snickerdoodles that were more picky about how they were mixed.
