He'd...not come to terms with it, he very much hadn't managed that, but Tony had at least been able to get through it before. It had been over twenty years, the ache had to fade at least a little. But that was before the old wound had been ripped wide open and been thoroughly salted. And since getting incredibly, mind-blowingly plastered would probably raise questions he didn't feel like answering, Tony had gone for burying himself in work instead. The Abandoned City was good for that kind of thing.
Or at least it was, until he finds himself with half a building on top of him.]

It takes a moment or so later for him to realize the voice sounds familiar, and Tony goes utterly still in the process of trying to shove a piece of plaster away. His luck can't possibly be this bad...]
