He wanted to make sure that if monsters overran the city or people turned on each other like a pack of wolves, that his students could properly use their lessons in a practical fashion.

"Not getting hurt is the most important part." He held up one of his hands. There were calluses all along his fingertips and scars that crisscrossed his palms.
