Right. ( it’s not hard to find one, eyes focusing on the first image that screams explosions and car chases—something needlessly violent, not billy’s first choice of film, but they’re not watching something to watch it right now. loki leans up against him, and billy returns the favor, rests his weight up against the other and curls his legs up on the couch cushions.
being touched and held isn’t anything new; it’s the person doing it that’s new—but like this, billy doesn’t mind too much. even a god needs attention, and if loki’s preference for it is holding onto someone and coddling into him—better for it to be someone like billy, who does have some kind of understanding with him. he convinces himself it’s not because he’s growing to miss this already; misses teddy being there, anchoring him down.
loki needs someone to be there for him, but billy isn’t much better. and despite being told all of it was just bullshit spouted off a silvertongue, it doesn’t help him feel any better about the possibility he may have just been altering teddy to his wants and needs without thinking about it. there’s the phantom of a thought scratching at the back of his head that maybe, maybe that’s what this is, too. that he needs someone, that he’s somehow doing that to loki too. but that’s—more than a little overconfident, isn’t it? billy’s a mutant, a witch—there’s no way he can alter a god.
he presses in closer as the beginning of the movie starts—a man gets into a car, turns the key, the whole thing goes up in flames within moments. there’s a woman screaming in agony, another car pulling up and pulling her into it—the basic, dumb action movie plot. mind numbing, almost. which makes an absolutely perfect opportunity for billy to close his eyes and let himself doze off. )
