[He had been well informed before he went into this surgery and he trusted Beverly more than enough to know what she was doing and that it would go as planned. What he threw him off was waking up from it all almost immediately afterward. Or so it seemed. It felt like he had been quickly getting drunk, but there was no alcohol in him. Then he closed his eyes and felt like he had slept for days and was suddenly waking up again.]

[That... was the strangest part of it all. Knowing where he was, then not knowing, then feeling the tubes connected to his arm and being told not to pull them out and being alarmed at them anyway, then remembering why they were there and trying to sleep again. For the first time in a long time, his stunted vision unnerved him as he swung back and forth between awake and half asleep, trying to come out of the anesthesia.]

[As things cleared up, he realized hiding himself for the next day or so was going to be much harder than he imagined. Modern medicines had advanced in leaps and bounds, but it was one thing to read about it and another entirely to experience it. He found himself more than a little glad to have put himself through the process of it before he made the offer to his housemate.]

[But Ciel would have him and he would have his father to help him after. Right now, Undertaker was on his own and as much as he was loathe to admit it, he needed help. It was a long shot, but he had limited options and he had only the one person he felt comfortable reaching out to in a time like this. There was no way he would ask Beverly to watch over him for a night, so it was to Jason that his text went.]
