[Okay, so...maybe Izzy really should have given up on the whole cooking thing by this point. She's had enough failures in the cooking department to probably last a lifetime, and yet when she saw the workshop she couldn't help herself. She had to give a shot. Too bad the instructor probably wasn't prepared for someone like her, though. It's not that Izzy has a short attention span, or even that she doesn't understand the theory behind cooking. In fact, she's heard of enough recipes...even read enough of them to know the mechanics and what makes what...what you have to put together and all of that.
It's just the theory along with the practical that somehow, somewhere in the process, winds up getting her messed up. And this is no different. Even without making any alterations to the recipe the shadowhunter is left with something that is somehow burt and gelatinous at the same time. cocking her head to the side, a braid going along with the movement, Iz can't help the look on her face.] Well, this didn't work out well. I have no idea where I went wrong.
[The petite woman pokes at the product, the disappointment she feels not written on her face, luckily, mainly because she's too self-aware for that. If either of her brothers see she knows she'll never live it down. As per usual.] Maybe I should have tried the cake decorating instead...
II. Arts & Crafts
[Luckily, Izzy has more luck with the ceramics workshop. Then again, there's nothing for her to season, make into a gelatinous blob, or burn this go around either. Instead, she actually manages to do well at this workshop. Her focus goes a long way, and even though her normal inclination is to look her best, she doesn't mind the smear that winds up on her face as she follows instructions, shapes the vase she's working on, and enjoys the workshop.] Well, it looks like I better at this than I am cooking, anyway.
[She can't quite help the smile, or the easygoing and friendly nature that she spouts out at others. That's just how she triest to be. And this entire thing is for a good cause, so bringing forward any negativity...even with her epic falture at the first workshop is not happening. She's Isabelle Lightwood. Confidence is key.
Even if she skipped out on all of the things that come easily to her, that she's already good at. That's also what today is about, right? Right!]
III. Buffet
Izzy's had a bit of a full day, even bypassing all of the sport workshops and the varying demonstrations. There's a part of her that is still contemplating that cake decorating workshop, though. She didn't do well, at all, when it came to cooking, but surely she couldn't screw up decorating, after all, it's always been one of her specialties. Even if said decorations have turned out best when they were for a person's body...or for a room. Still, color, shape, and all of the different elements of design that she knows can't be totally useless in that area, right?
That's what she's going to tell herself until she decides one way or another, at least.
For now, though, Izzy makes her way toward the food, picking out a few items to put onto her plate and muching as she saunters her way toward a table, taking a seat. At the moment she's alone, but as she munches there's an easy and friendly smile on her face. She's more than happy to have someone sit with her--whether she knows them or not. And she's also not shy about waving a hello to any faces that are even remotely familiar. She came to have a good time and to be social.
