A new set of pets; open

[ Shigeru was never one to really keep pets, his job never allowed for such things, and besides pets back home weren’t exactly cute or cuddle like some of the ones he’s seen here. Dogs and cats were cute but Shigeru has his eye on something else…

So during the harvest festivals round up of strange and normal critters Shigeru will find himself particularly drawn to what appears to be a snake with…eight legs?! Shigeru looks totally in love with it though as he lets the snake…spider crawl up his arm and wrap around his neck like a scarf. He might laugh a little as the things tongue tickles his cheek before petting it some more as he moves on to what appears to be a tortoise of some kind. But despite its looks it’s still not as freaky as the spider snake, which will stare at whoever runs into Shigeru, but it'll just tilt its head and flick its tongue in and out before it looks away. He’ll probably adopt both of them by the end of the day and you can see him walking happily with his questionably "cute" pets in tow. ]

A question for the masses

I’ve been meaning to ask this for a while now. But…would anyone be interested in learning sign language? Or not even that but any other language from different worlds. I think it would a nice way to bond and to learn more about each other if we had a meeting once every week to do just that.

[ And, you know, it would help him have an easier time of communicating. ]

If enough people want to maybe we can meet in the library and have a meeting there!

A book to test wills; open

[ The book he had taken home has long since been left on the counter top in his kitchen. He had been to library various times and to no avail he came home empty hand each time. So he had put it out of his mind and yet…the paranoia and growing anger within him didn’t abate even a little. He certainly woke up grumpy today and anyone who encounters him today will definitely get some of it. He’ll be going about his usual day, albeit a bit more on edge than usual. He’s a bit jittery than usual and people can definitely notice that. Anyone who sneaks up on him or startles him in anyway will get an uncharacteristic glare from him however. But more importantly if you get a glimpse of his drawing pad there’s a strange symbol drawn multiple times in his pad. Along with it is a strange, what appears to be language, scribbled around the paper as well. ]

Closed to Dodger;

[ He never really knows where to find the other man. Often he’ll just send a text to him to make sure he’s okay so that’s what he’ll go with for now. ]

Is everything okay today? Do you…want to go out somewhere?

[ Going on a nice date might help him relax a little at least.. ]

Closed to Genji;

I wanted to know if you wanted to stop by? Maybe we could practice some sign language if you’d like?

[ An innocent enough text. Of course when Genji gets there it’ll be a different story to how Shigeru acts. But for now he’s decidedly calm and he’s been missing the other’s company, so maybe Genji’s presence can get him to relax...even if just for a little while. ]

I was wondering if you wanted to meet for...a first examination? We could also get started on the healing process too if you'd like!

[ He's not sure how willing Reaper will be to it. So maybe for now just a preliminary examine would be good. ]

[The reply takes a little bit. He's still recovering from his last fight with Taako when he reads it, and hell, he's lucky to have crawled his way back into his apartment. Still, Shigeru is a welcome presence, and with him comes respite from his injuries.]

is there something you want to do or are you asking me to make plans?

Sign Language? Is that a way you communicate?

[he kind of felt like writing all the time had to get tedious.]

[ Dodger!! Don't be rude to him right now. He is in no mood. ]

Well, I figured we could do something that's normal. Are you up for going to a movie?

[ There is a slightly snippy tone in what he writes. But he just gonna send it anyway. ]

[He doesn't notice immediately, but rereading that first sentence makes him raise a brow. What exactly counts as normal for them?]

sure. pick a theater and i'll pay for the tickets.

[After a moment he adds:]

mind coming over here first?

[ Genji is happy to hear from him, as it's been a bit since they'd last seen each other. He texts back quickly. ]

Of course. I can head over now?

[ He's already dressed so he goes to leave a note on the fridge for his roommates before he steps out. ]

[ What indeed. They are about as abnormal as any two people could be. But at least Dodger can't hear his sigh as he reads that text. ]

Fine. I'll be over in a few minutes.

[ And with that he'll head over. About 10 minutes later Dodger will get a curt knock on his door before Shigeru opens it and lets himself in. ]

Dodger?

Oh hello Edward! Yes that's right! It's...one of the easier ways that I can communicate. I don't really like asking people to learn a whole different language just for me though.

Writing and typing are just...easier I guess to accommodate others.

[Dodger is laying in bed, on his back and smoking. He hadn't bothered to get out of his clothes the night before, so at least he is dressed - although it makes it painfully obvious that he was in another fight. One of the legs of his jeans is ripped up and stained with blood, and he overall looks pretty battered and bruised.

Dodger's dog walks over and greets Shigeru with a friendly keen, nosing his hand to ask to be petted. Brink has taken to speaking less lately, since Dodger doesn't let him leave the apartment and rarely speaks when it's just them. Which is usually.]

That's fine. I can make us some tea...if you'd like?

[ He knows Genji likes his tea strong so he'll be sure to keep his brewing for a bit longer. ]

[ For some reason...seeing Dodger hurt again makes him rather annoyed? It's not entirely unjustified, given how many times Shigeru has said he should take better care of himself. He might pause, his gloved hands clenching into fists for a brief moment before he's snapped out of by Brink. He'll blink and let out a soft sigh, petting Brink, before he comes over to the bed. ]

What happened this time?

[ His face is totally done right now. ]

I'd love some. :)

[ He arrives at Shigeru's place quickly and knocks on the door gently. He's dressed down, not in any armor, and his smile is gentle as he waits. Ah, he almost feels foolish for being so excited to see him... ]

[That is definitely harsher than Shigeru's ever been with him. It gets him to look up in surprise, his eyes searching the man's face before he sits up with some effort. Obviously he's been bruised up pretty badly.]

Tried to be a good Samaritan. It blew up in my face. As usual.

[He winces before trying to get up. Nope, his body isn't doing that.]

...Wanna lend a hand?

[ He figured Genji would. So he'll set that all up and ready to go. He might even have some Japanese snacks he found in one of the market places too. Wondering idly if Genji had a favorite as he sets them out he'll hear that knock and go to get the door.

His smile is bright as he lets Genji in. It's only been a few days since they've spoken but he stilled missed the other man dearly. It might also be the possessiveness of the book getting to him. Nagging him in the back of his mind to not let the other leave his sight now that he's here. ]

I made some green tea...I hope that's okay?

[ Shigeru will stand there for a good minute or two. Honestly he wants to pummel the person who did this and Dodger all at the same time. But he'll shake his head and bring a hand to his head for a brief moment before looking back at Dodger.

He might come towards the bed and then...slowly ease himself onto the bed. He's not sure when he did it, almost like he's in a daze of sorts, but he'll straddle Dodger and push him back onto the bed with enough force that it should force Dodger to lie back down. ]

Don't bother. I can just heal you like this.

[ He'll activate his gate then, and it looks a bit more menacing than it used to. There's black veins running through it now, cutting into the purple iridescence of it, like black rivers of miasma. His smile is a bit sharp as he leans in closer. ]

That's what you want, right? For me to heal you and clean up after your messes, again.

[ He might run a hand along some of Dodger's bruises, making sure to press on them a little bit. It's especially bad, considering what he knows of Dodger's past, but he doesn't seem to care right now. Dodger was his, wasn't he? So he should be able to do whatever he wanted with him. ]

[Dodger lets out a soft yelp as he's pushed back, protesting the pain in his back more than anything else about the situation. Even with his past - or perhaps because of it - the feeling of being trapped under him is... exciting. Shigeru's fingers press down on Dodger's bruises and he lets out a guttural noise, unsure if he wants him to stop or not. Unsure if it's worth the uphill battle that he sees.]

Sure... does it look like I can handle it myself?

[The quip doesn't come with its usual lazy sarcasm; instead he voices it tentatively, watching Shigeru with a newfound curiosity and... maybe an ounce of apprehension.]

You wanna fix me up now, doc?

[ Genji's pale eyes brighten considerably when he sees him, not yet aware that anything is amiss. He steps inside and nods. ] That's perfect.

[ He reaches out to brush his fingers through Shigeru's hair idly, that gentle smile on his face. ] How are you today? What have you been up to?

You're mine after all, so of course I have to fix you.

[ He'll smile as he leans back a little, eyeing Dodger from his position. It's sort of exciting for Shigeru too in a sense. Except this isn't the normal behavior he'd ever express towards Dodger. He'll run a hand through Dodger's hair, as he nods, and he'll slightly jerk the other's head back to make sure he has no bruises on his face or neck. But once his examination is done he'll get to work quite quickly. His eyes will flicker with his power then and the cut on Dodger's leg will heal along with the bruises over his body. ]

Maybe I should just give you some bruises of my own. Since you seem to enjoy getting them from everyone else.

[ Is he gripping Dodger's shoulder tightly now? He sure is... ]

This isn't thrilling enough for you though is it? Maybe using Valent would be better?

I'm interested. I've already learned a few, one more shouldn't hurt. You still wanted to learn alchemy, right? How about a trade?

[ Shigeru's smile is warm as he allows Genji to do that. ]

I'm fine, now that you're here. It's been a crazy few weeks, hasn't it?

[ But he shakes his head. ]

Just the usual, really. But how about you? What have you been up to?

[Dodger wets his lips, his breath catching in his throat as Shigeru's grip tightens. Yes, this is good. This is very, extremely good.]

Is that a threat or an offer?

[Does it matter? Either way Dodger's hands have slipped up to run his fingers through Shigeru's hair, and he leans up to press kisses to his chin like a dog showing reverence to its master.]

If you're gonna do something to me, go ahead.

That sounds perfect to me! Sign language might be harder than alchemy though.

[ He's joking, of course, but he is kind of excited to see if he can learn alchemy. ]

That's one of the principles, right? Equivalent exchange?

[ The cultist book is doing wonders with making him act on the darker parts of his personality. Of course it's been in his possession for a few days and the result is...alarming. He'll type something out with one hand while he stretches the other back towards his gate. A hilt and then a sword will form from the center of it as he grips it lightly in his hand. ]

Why not a bit of both? [ He'll finally pull the entire sword out of his gate, and with a deft handling of it he'll drag the sharp tip of it along Dodger's chest only to have the sharp edge of it rest lightly under his chin. ]

How do you want to be marked?

[ The robotic voice of his phone will ask through the silence as Shigeru will just look at Dodger in a strangely possessive way. The possessive nature of the book and its influence on Shigeru is really easy to see now. Of course Shigeru is powerless to stop it and he'll continue to give into it, despite how hard he might try to fight it. ]

[Ivar's been helping round up all the little critters in the city. Despite his gruff and usually angry demeanor, he's got a soft spot for animals, especially since he's afraid of them being outside when it turns miserably cold. To help put the other creatures at ease, he has Hrimfaxi, his Blitzle, out and about to provide a calming presence. She's the first to spot the creatures walking by Shigeru, nudging Ivar's arm, and calling out 'Blitzle, Blitz!'

Ivar looks over the pair that Shigeru now has, grinning at the sight of the unusual creatures.]

Made some new friends, have we?

[The blade gets a ragged hiss from him, as he closes his eyes for a moment in bliss before staring up at Shigeru with a crooked grin.]

Looks like you've got a few ideas...

[He tips his head back a bit to try and avoid the blade, but being on his lap Shigeru will easily be able to feel how excited he is. He hasn't gotten this sort of horrifying mess of violence and sexuality in a while and it's thrilling above all else.]

...Do whatever you want to me. I'm yours, right? So mark me as such.

[God, it's been so long since he's gotten to talk like this. It's perfect.]

[ Shigeru will give him a look, half lazy and half...excited. He definitely feels Dodger's excitement and for him in this state that's always welcomed. His eyes will definitely light up after the fact at least. And he'll slowly ease his blade over Dodger's skin, but only after he's he's moved his shirt up enough to expose his chest. It's done in a lazy and slow manner, almost as if he wants Dodger to revel in the action before he presses down with his sword enough to cut, but not deeply or too painfully. He'll draw the symbol, one that in Katsuitigaian that means love and reverence, into the part of Dodger's chest on the opposite pectoral muscle as his star of baphomet. He'll deftly lift the blade then and flick off whatever blood there might be on it after he's done. Healing Dodger's wound enough so that it remains as a scar on his skin. The symbol is that of two intertwining shapes with various runic lettering etched around them in a circle.

But he won't be done just yet as he uses his free hand to run up Dodger's inner thigh, shifting a little on top of him to do so, as it's done in a teasing sort of manner. He wonders how much he can push the other before he cracks. ]
