[Welcome to Bryn's apartment. The door is unlocked, and personal belongings can be tossed up onto the bed just at the top of the stairs. The party's theme is apparent at once. As mentioned on the network post, gold and glitz is strongly encouraged (though no one will be turned away for lacking either) in clothing, jewelry, accessories, or however creatively someone would like to incorporate it. Those interested in participating but lacking anything gold or glitzy will find gold glitter body gel to spread on their skin, compliments of the hostess.

There's a bar cart by the front door with a sign that reads WELCOME in gold script. It's laden with short shot glasses filled with what looks like liquid gold. When imbibed, however, it tastes like a faintly peach-flavored vodka. The rest of the alcohol and mixers can be found in the kitchen. Clear plastic cups feature labels that can be written on in gold permanent marker, then filled with any number of beverages. Really, there's no real rhyme or reason to what's available, as guests have been encouraged to bring whatever they like and add it to the kitchen island. For those who don't drink alcohol, there's a sign on the fridge indicating that non-alcoholic drinks and mixers are kept within. Anyone looking to fill their stomach a little between drinks will find platters of finger foods available throughout the apartment. Gold macarons, cheese and crackers, sliced fruit and vegetables are plentiful, but guests who are quick enough may find they can grab some of the thinly sliced beef arranged around a bowl of spicy dipping sauce. Of note, there is also a plate of gold fortune cookies for guests. While it's noted there's only enough for one per person, the fortunes feature not only a fortune but a party challenge. Dance with a stranger? Eat nothing that isn't fed to you? Try your hand at inventing a new drink? Why not try it and see what happens? Play a game of party jenga for that matter.

Beyond all this, anyone attending is encouraged to mingle and enjoy themselves. There's ample seating throughout the apartment for people to sit back and enjoy their food and drinks, including a plush rug in one corner covered in floor cushions and pillows around a hookah with a variety of flavors of tobacco. For those who are more inclined to activity there's space enough to dance to the music that booms throughout the apartment. With the windows open the space stays well aired out and comfortable, inviting any who attend to linger as long as they like. By the looks of things the hostess has no intention of kicking anyone out no matter how late it gets...]

[ She'll have some of that drink. Smalltalk is incredibly awkward and she would rather not suffer in it sober. ]

[Thor looks visibly surprised to see Angela here, if only because he had not expected her to come. It may also be because he is more than a few drinks ahead of her this evening.

Just enough to feel particularly jovial.

He pours a decent share out for her, into a shiny, gold cocktail.]

Pay me no mind. I've been debating with mortals all evening to determine if I should share.

[ Truth be told, Angela was not sure she was going to come, but ultimately decided life is better when you don't keep yourself in isolation.

She takes the drink, glad for something that might actually have some effect on her, and sips it. ]

Then I've solved your problem. Share with me, and leave the mortals to their own liquor.

[Angela looks lovely, and Thor is lucky to have realised she's his sister now and not later. He doesn't really want to think about that.]

I drink their liquor not for the taste, but the sparkle. [And because he doesn't want to offend Bryn by exclusively drinking his own stuff.]

What brings you here?

[ The dress, though now hers, initially belonged to Heimdall's betrothed. How silly, that initially she stole it to hide from the Odinson, and now she wears it in plain sight of him. ]

I do admit, it does shine brighter than ale.

[ She sighs, and shrugs helplessly. Though she may look the part of a casual partygoer, she is uncomfortable in this setting. ]

I am... attempting not to isolate myself. To meet new people, to socialize. [ And yet she has yet to speak to anyone she isn't related to. ]

Mm, an admirable goal. [Thor has found it all too easy to be insular, even with so many new people.]

Have you met someone you've not yet spoken to, yet? [It isn't accusatory, just curious.]

[ Has she--? Yeah, that's a no. ]

Not... as yet. Words are not my strength, and I find most smalltalk infuriating.

Yes, well. Fury does put a damper on things. [He'll sip his drink to punctuate that.]

I can help you, if you like, I can offer pointers. [Even if 90% of his conversational ability comes from natural charm.]

I would repay you for your aid.

[ And she would follow through. That much is certain. ]

_{[ Honestly, Karamatsu has been keeping an eye on both of them for awhile now. He met Thor already, but who was that girl with him? Mystery upon mystery. He adverts his gaze anytime either of them look over at him, almost like he wants to say something and talk as well, but something seems to be stopping him.

He's more of an attention grabber than one to actively seek out attention. You know, look attractive and let the others come to you. Like a flower to the bees. Something dumb and poetic like that.

He's posed-- in ear shot but still giving them distance-- with most of his weight against a wall. Thor probably recalls how amusing he can be; maybe Karamatsu being.. Karamatsu-like will lighten her nerves. ]}

[At her consent, Thor removes his focus from Angela and allows himself to scan the room. His preference is for someone he knows, so he doesn't need to introduce himself and so he knows how they may take to Angela.

He doesn't pretend to know everything about her, but he does know that she'll need a particular sort of person to warm to.

Thor's eyes land on Karamatsu, and his brows raise in consideration. Karamatsu is (mostly) inoffensive and he has a good humor about him. Thor quite enjoyed their conversation, and he seems the sort that could talk enough for two.

With his target locked, Thor turns toward him and steps closer, as if becoming a physical bridge between Karamatsu and Angela.]

Hello again, my friend. Tell me, have you met my sister Angela before?

[ Angela looks down at the little man leaning against the wall, face set in... well, it's not a scowl, but it's not exactly a smile either. She cuts an imposing figure: 6'2", bright orange hair, white hot eyes with red markings like makeup on her face, dressed in a short gold dress with magical ribbons floating around her neck.

She looks down at him and mutters, ] Hello.

_{[ These people are certainly tall, aren't they? Karamatsu felt less intimidated until they started talking to him. He looks up at Thor, remembering how he seemed to enjoy their conversation (???) and looks even touched at the word friend.
Then, his eyes bounce to Angela who just looks all around cool. They both can probably tell his knees are shaking slightly, but then this is what happens:

Karamatsu chuffs some laughter, splaying his hand over his temple. ]}

I see. You find my company charming, and so you are introducing me to your sister. Heh, I am honored, truly, that you would consider me a candidate to woo her.

_{[ nO?? He said nothing like that? ]}

It is a pleasure to meet you.

[As usual, Thor entirely misinterprets Karamatsu's sincere comments as a joke. Thor claps Karamatsu on the back and lets out a loud, bark of laughter.

He gives Angela a nudge too, as if to indicate that laughing now would be the key to making this situation less awkward.]

Karamatsu takes a deep interest in the welfare of others, as do I. Why don't you tell Karamatsu about your interests, Angela?

[ Angela bristles in anger and disgust at the thought that this... living doll would be meant to woo her. She thought she was just making friendly conversation! ]

First allow me to set the record straight. I am happily coupled, and though my beloved is not here in the quarantine, I am not interested in romantic liaisons in her absence.

[ That said, she supposes she could talk about her interests.... What interest would those be, exactly? ]

I... enjoy hunting. I serve on the Perimeter Guard, here.

_{[ Look, he has no idea. He was dragged into this. Thor, be specific with what you want out of him.
He watches and nods like he gets it, maybe he'll forget later, but he gets it now. ]}

[It's completely absurd to Thor that Karamatsu wouldn't just comprehend the situation instantly with no guidance!

Thor finds he's learning quite a bit here too, since he had absolutely no idea Angela was involved in her own romance.]

Perhaps you require the help of someone more experienced in that area. [He just assumes Karamatsu has none.]

I suppose hunting for romance can be as formidable as hunting beasts. For some. [Not him.]

[ The look Angela shoots Thor conveys her disbelief that hunting for a romantic partner could be anywhere as challenging as actual, literal hunting.

But... She's trying to be civil. ]

Have you had... much success in your endeavors, Karamatsu?

[Now that the conversation is progressing, Thor initiates the unspoken part of his plan. The part where he remains silent and watches as the other two converse. He's still hovering for the moment, to ensure it continues to go smoothly, but he will eventually disappear into the party.]

Three? [ The number is so small, but then again, the lives of humans are short. ] With the same person or different ones?

[ Angela knows what guns are, of course. Star-Lord uses guns. ]

I prefer blades to guns. Swords or axes.

Heh. Different ones. I am a man who chases many hearts, you see. But only few have succeeded in winning me over.

I see. I have never hunted with such things, but I could take a swing at it.
