Short Test Drive Expedition [Closed]

what: Professor Sycamore ventures outside the city to test an item that may help the residents with some experienced fighters protecting him.

After he posted the video to the network a few days ago, he managed to get some several people to help him out in his short expedition. While it's just a way to test drive his Pokedex and see if can locate any Pokemon properly, he doesn't want to go out from the city unarmed and letting Garchomp protecting him most of the time will give him a disadvantage.

So right now, you can see him standing around just by the gate while carrying a brown messenger bag containing most of the medicine, food, and any items needed in case of emergencies. Just basic survival kit for humans and Pokemon.

Once he sees someone he saw from the network approaching him, he smiled that they made it as promised.

"Hello there. Sorry if I took your time out from your usual schedule."

Ah, no. It's no problem.

[2B is here early. She heard the expedition will be a short one, so she didn't really prepare much in the way of supplies. Just a light sword in case there's trouble. Overall a rather unusual sight for someone who's to go out into the wild.]

What's our objective, then?

[Looks like he finds that the stoic woman managed to arrive here early, so that's good news.]

We just need to find a monster and a Pokemon into the wild. I just need to test my Pokedex function I've added when it scans a monster and can distinguish it from a Pokemon when it is nearby at the same time.

I know this is just one short goal, but I still need some protection from any dangers just in case.

[And here comes Ivar wheeling up. He's got his usual weapons strapped on, favoring his sword today rather than his throwing ax. There's also the Pokeball containing Skinfaxi inside his vest. He looks over the pair already there, giving each of them a nod.]

[Once he sees Ivan after meeting the seemingly young stoic woman and the young man, he approaches the Viking as he is happy to see that he made it on time as well.]

Find and scan a monster. Sounds simple enough.

[Let's leave what a "pokemon" is aside for now. Seeing the new arrival, 2B returns the nod.

Not the one to say much, and if she finds anything at all unusual about Ivar's disability, she doesn't show it.]

Do we have a destination yet?

[When the young woman asks the location where they will be heading, Augustine then pulls out a folded paper from his bag and once he unfolds it, they will see the map of Riverview with a circle drawn between the picture of the lake and wall.]

For now, our intended destination should be at the lake not far away from the city. Not only that they reported to see some monsters in that area, but they are also some Pokemon wandering around in the same area.

They even reported that some of the Pokemon are largely injured by those monsters.

[Saying this made him feel uncomfortable about the Pokemon's situation.]

[2B nods. The mission objectives are clear enough. However upon hearing Augustine's last comment she folds her arms, her gaze lowering thoughtfully.]

So, even this kind of creatures are fighting among each other...

[OOC: are we establishing a post order or is there no need?]

Seems simple enough. [Which just means some complications are bound to arise.] Should we attempt to contain the injured Pokemon?

[That seems like it might be a bit beyond the parameters of the mission, but Ivar figures it's best to cover all situations.]

[ Shigeru will shake his head and motion towards himself as he writes something down on the pad in his hands. ]

We don't have to do that. If I can have a little time I can heal them right then and there, depending on the injuries they've got.

[ But he's hoping it's nothing too serious! ]

[He also wants to help the injured Pokemon as well, but like Shigeru said, they only got limited time when it comes to rescuing them. Besides, this expedition is more than testing out the Pokedex's new function.]

Well, in case we encounter the injured Pokemon, we might as well tend to their injuries as we can.

Let's just pray the monsters haven't hurt them too much.

Well then.

[2B quietly sighs as she briefly stretches, in preparation for the walk. Her feelings about the issue are not clear, but one thing's for certain - standing around won't do anyone any good.]

Let's get going. If I spot any of these... Pokemon, I'll inform you right there.

So their wounds can be healed on the spot. That's rather convenient.

[She knew biological beings heal differently than mechanica ones, but she didn't know it can take so little time.]

Sounds like a plan.

[Ivar follows as they began to move out. He's interested in both the mission and the possible monsters they might encounter. He'd be a liar if he wasn't interested in possibly getting the chance to fight one of them.]

[ Unfortunately Shigeru's healing is more due to his powers than anything else. But shh he won't mention that just yet. Either way he'll nod and smile slightly before moving out with the rest of the group.

Shigeru hopes the monster encounters is...well minimal. He rather not have to use his powers if he didn't have to. ]

[Once everyone agreed to their current goal, the group then moves out to start their expedition. And as they head to their destination, Sycamore reviews the objectives for today, which is not only to test the Pokedex's feature to distinguish between a Pokemon and a monster but also to tend the wild Pokemon's injuries if they find them.

Then as the group arrives at the lake, they can see that there are signs of a struggle not to mention small and large footprints that belonged to several creatures. Once he sees this, Sycamore steps forward as he looked around the damages.]

Oh, my... The reports didn't mention how severe these attacks are. Still, we're very close to where they are.

[Now worried about this, he pulls out the Pokedex and starts using the new feature to cautiously scan around the area. Yet he still hasn't ignored his own safety as he only walked around near the group to prevent any monster ambushes. Unknown to him but one of his bodyguards, they may notice three small pairs of eyes in some nearby bushes.]

[2B remains quiet during the trip. She's not a very talkative individual in general, and there was no need to say anything.

Until now, that is.]

I don't think we're alone here. Do these prints belong to monsters, or pokemon?

[She wonders what exactly makes one different from the other. The android observes the area carefully, her head slowly moving side to side to spot any hostile as soon as they appear.

If a fight begins, she hopes the others are able to defend themselves too.]

[Ivar's right hand rests lightly on the grip of his sword, though he doesn't draw it quite yet. Some instinct is making him look around the surrounding area. He agrees with 2B.]

You're right. I think we're being watched.

[But were they friendly eyes of the injured Pokemon or the monsters who had attacked them?]

[ Shigeru will also be there with his normal looking attire and a small bag filled with medial supplies and food just in case something goes amiss. He gives Sycamore a smile and wave before typing up a response on his device. ]

It's no problem at all! [ After all he did agree to join in and help. ]

I brought us some extra food and medical supplies just in case anything happens.

[ He's not expecting it to, but Shigeru is a worrywort and prepares hardcore. ]

[When he sees the young man arrived, he can guess that he must be the one who texted him under the handle of "shigeru miyata"

Once Shigeru explains what he just brought through the network, he is surprised at how many items he brought just for today. Sure, it's just a short expedition that might fill with monsters, but he feels that this might be too much.]

[Obviously since he wonders that his username might be his real name. Yet, he notices that he communicates using his device for some reason.

Regardless, he let him escort to the others in order to completely brief for the expedition.]

[ Listen you can never be too prepared for a strange alien planet. Shigeru hasn't ventured outside the city all that much yet, so he's just making the best and most necessary preparations possible. But he does nod and smile following the other towards the group. ]
